The price for the annual license
fee is US $500.00.

fee includes:
To keep things simple there will
be only one version and one price for all software
for the Mitsubishi wire machines. This way just one
software package covers one family of wire machines and includes all
features including 4-axis, patches, and upgrades. This will reduce development
time, support time, and a lot of headaches for us and you the customer.
The EDMwire software package is
an add-on for AutoCAD and works within AutoCAD using AutoCAD's database
to create a true machine-specific Wire
EDM
CAD/CAM system. This eliminates the awkwardness of POST PROCESSORS and
exporting files from AutoCAD to other programs to create the tool path
information.
We are introducing the EDMwire
software package to the market on a TRY & BUY basis. You will be able to
download the software and try it free for 2 weeks and then have the option
to buy your first annual license for US $500.00.
An annual license fee of US $500.00 will
apply for each year thereafter.

their dealers will receive a FREE one year license for EDMwire.

Special
Features of EDMwire
4-Axis
The 4-axis
routines are quite different from the rest of the software on the market
because we were able to use the built-in functions of the Mitsubishi
wire. For example, you could be cutting a 2-axis arc with a 10 degree taper and
add a 4-axis piece of code in the middle of the arc and then return to the arc
using 2-axis programming again with the 10 degree taper. This feature alone can
reduce your output file by hundreds of lines of code. This is only possible
with machine specific software
like EDMwire.

Program-Check
Program check is the same
software used on the FA machines to view files. Modifications have been made to
allow it to run on your PC.
We have activated and added a few extra features to the program to make it
easer to use like:

Zoom by mouse;

A tool-bar for
navigation on the right;

The ability to
step through the NC code one line at a time;
-
The ability to
jump to any line in the NC code, stop, and then step through the file;
-
A preferences page
for setting machine conditions like Smooth taper, Interfere Check, and many
more;

Resizing of the
window.
Note:
The above Program-Check window is now available FREE for Mitsubishi customers
only and is copyrighted by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. The
Program-Check software has been integrated into the EDMwire software and
AutoCAD to meet the agreement with MC Machinery Systems, Inc., and will not run
as a stand-alone program.

routines are also quite different from the others. With the power of AutoCAD's
built-in routines we were able to produce a very efficient coreless routine.

Other features have
been added to the program recently with the help of MC Machinery.

for different routines are very welcome. Without your input this program cannot
evolve.

Our
intent for doing software for the Charmilles or other wire machines.
We own a Mitsubishi
FX-10 which allows us to use our experience and the machine to develop and test
the software. Proper software cannot be written without the wire machine right
there to test it. We have our hands full with the Mitsubishi line of machines
and would like to develop their potential to the fullest. We don't want to fall
into the same trap as the other software companies have by trying to take on
too much and not fulfilling the full potential of each machine. With the help
of
AutoDesk and the AutoDesk Developers Network
we have opened a new door in EDM software for other wire EDM companies to
follow.
