Program Check
|
NOTE:
|
Program-Check is based on the same software used on the FA machines to view files. Modifications have been made to allow it to run on your PC.
We have activated and added a few extra features to the program to make it easer to use, like:
Zoom by mouse; A tool bar for navigation on the right; The ability to step through the NC code one line at a time; The ability to jump to any line in the NC code, stop, and then step through the file; A preferences page for setting machine conditions like Smooth taper, Interfere Check, and many more; Resizing of the window.To download the AutoCAD file for the Die Block example click here.
Example 1 Stripper Plate
Example 1 shows a Stripper Plate 2.75" x 1.5". All parts have one Rough cut except for the T-shaped parts which use a Coreless cut.
Example 2 Die Plate
Example 2 shows the Die Plate for the same job.(direction of travel for the strip is from right to left).
- Guide pin die openings 1-3 are Rough and 1 Skim only.
- Round die openings 4&5 are Rough with a 1 degree taper and Land with 2 Skims.
- L-shaped die openings 6-9 are Rough with a 1 degree taper and Land with 2 Skims.
- T-shaped die openings 10-13 are Coreless and Rough with a 1 degree taper and Land with 2 Skims.
- C-shaped die openings 14&15 are Rough with a 1 degree taper and Land with 2 Skims.
In this example all openings have a Rough cut on Pass #1 and Land cuts are done on Pass #2.
If this was a larger Die we could have used the micro-joint function, held onto all the slugs, come back in the morning, cut off the slugs with Pass #2, and then finished the Lands on Pass #3.
With the Zoom-by-Mouse feature we can zoom in/out at will. This example shows the coreless cut on the T shaped parts. The outside cut (Taper Cut) of this parts measures 0.12"x0.34". Maximum zoom can be up to 100 times greater. The order of the cuts is as follows:
- Coreless cut;
- Rough cut with Taper;
- Land cut with 2 Skim cuts.
Example 4-3D View
To view the Die in a 3D shaded view -- On the Tool Bar you can choose Polygon Shade
and a little further down SW Isometric View
.

- The EDMwire Output-Editor which controls all data input;
- The Program-Check window with its tool-bar which controls all the functions;
- The Mitsubishi graphic engine which is the heart of the Program-Check.
